Delta has enormous potential. It’s time for leadership with a plan to unlock it.
Transcript
"Building Delta for the long term means being smart about how we fund the projects you rely on. My approach was driven by economic development, not new taxes or levies.
When Delta attracts new businesses and strengthens our industrial sector, we grow the tax base.
That means more revenue without adding costs to residents. But we also need to protect what we have. Right now, our local employers are fighting tough tariffs and unfair trade barriers. That is exactly why I will launch Delta's first ever economic development office.
This team will have one clear mission, to fight. Fight for local industry, bring in fresh investment, and stand up to senior governments to secure Delta's fair share of federal and provincial funding. We have a clear, practical strategy to deliver the projects you expect without adding new costs for residents.
It's time. It's time to build the infrastructure Delta needs now and for the future. It's time for one delta."
